EXPERIENCED ONCOLOGY NURSEDorset £ 28000 to £32000 per annum WE ARE PLEASED TO INVITE CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE, ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENT WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT AN EXPERIENCED ONCOLOGY NURSE.Background: The successful candidate will be joining an independent healthcare provider with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing complex surgery across a number of specialisms. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated oncology sister to join a state of the art hospital with outstanding facilities, a fantastic team atmosphere and contribute to the excellent patient experience.Role:As a member of the senior team, you will be reporting to the Ward Manager. You will be expected to provide expert, efficient oncology nursing service for patients with cancer, and their families. Administer intravenous cytotoxic medicines, monoclonal antibodies and other related medicines as required. You must have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.Successful candidates:The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:•Cannulation and venepuncture skills•Advanced chemotherapy and IV administration skills•Ability to deal with difficult situations with sensitivity•Ability to support colleagues, patients and relatives / carers in distressing circumstances•Ability to work autonomously and in consultation / collaboration with consultant users•Effective time management of own workload, recognise, prioritise and•Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situationsEssential role Requirements:•Current Level 1 registration•Post registration qualification in oncology / haematology or palliative care•Teaching qualification or equivalent•Minimum of 4 years experience in specialty or related area•Supervision of non-registered staff•Ability to manage a clinical area effectivelyPackage:•£28000 to £32000 starting salary depending on experience •Private Medical Insurance after 6 months employment•Pension (2% employee - 3.5% Employer)•25 days holiday•Life Insurance (after 2 years service and equal to 2 x annual salary) •Excellent working environment•Continuing training and development opportunitiesLocation: Dorset For more information regarding this role please do not hesitate to contact Independent Clinical Services for an informal conversation.Independent Clinical Services is working the capacity of a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
